HDC expands Halal diplomacy to Osaka, bridging Japan to its Halal needs
Halal Development Corporation (HDC) seeks to strengthen Halal diplomacy across the region by making a strong promotion at the Osaka Expo in Japan.
HDC said, this follows Malaysia’s continuous efforts to reinforce bilateral relations through Halal diplomacy, which foster a deeper collaboration among nations and assist markets in expanding Halal trade.
Namely, JAKIM certification as the highest standard of quality and compliance globally helps Malaysia to facilitate market access, connect Japanese Halal-certified companies with Malaysian Halal ingredient suppliers and establish partnerships with JAKIM-recognised certification bodies.
These efforts maintain Malaysia’s commitment in cultivating the global Halal economy through knowledge exchange, technology integration and science excellence.

“Through platforms like Expo 2025 Osaka, we aim to promote greater awareness of our Halal ecosystem, foster innovation, and strengthen Malaysia’s position as a global Halal hub,” said Hafiz as reported by Business Today.
At the seminar, HDC displayed its suite of digital tools and innovations, including the Halal Navigator (HaNa) and the Halal Integrated Platform (HIP).
HaNa in particular, is an AI-powered platform that provides information on Malaysia’s Halal certification in 36 languages which mirrors the country’s dedication to global inclusivity and digital transformation.

“Through our efforts and HIMP 2030, we are strengthening Malaysia’s Halal ecosystem while driving innovation and digital adoption across the value chain.
“Our goal is to position Malaysia as a trusted global partner in the Halal economy, built on quality, inclusivity, and long-term collaboration,” said Hafiz.
